I made three of these dresses, because they look more complicated to make than they really are. This is black linen with a bit of sashiko stitching - cool to wear in summer or over a tee shirt when the temperatures go down.

Pin and stitch placket

Lay placket right side down on wrong side of garment. (NB. Pick any side to be the front as front and back are the same.) Match blue notches. (Make sure placket is straight by checking that blue dot lines up with the centre crease.)

Mark the dashed line shown with water erasable pen/chalk and stitch.

Cut along red line, taking care not to cut through stitching.
