I made three of these dresses, because they look more complicated to make than they really are. This is black linen with a bit of sashiko stitching - cool to wear in summer or over a tee shirt when the temperatures go down.

Mark corners

Divide z (width front to back) in half. (For me, it was 18/2 = 9 cm.) Then draw two 9 cm squares as shown. These corners wll be cut away. Draw them on but don't cut fabric until you add seam allowance.
