I made three of these dresses, because they look more complicated to make than they really are. This is black linen with a bit of sashiko stitching - cool to wear in summer or over a tee shirt when the temperatures go down.

Stitch straps to Fronts

On right side of fabric, pin unfinished end of strap to Front just above the single notch.* Align raw edges and stitch at 6mm(1/4"), backstitching securely. Repeat for other strap.

NB. Black straps are shown in red floral fabric for clarity in this illustration

* Don't get this single notch mixed up with the pair of pink notches!
