I made three of these dresses, because they look more complicated to make than they really are. This is black linen with a bit of sashiko stitching - cool to wear in summer or over a tee shirt when the temperatures go down.

7 Stitch shoulder

Turn facing to inside at the notch. Press with seam allowances together and facing in one direction. Stitch "in the ditch" -- directly on top of shoulder seam ( as shown in red) to hold facing in place.

(OR if this looks untidy, unpick stitches. On inside attach facing to shoulder seam with a few hand stitches.)
