For Optional Applique

You'll need a fabric motif, cut out roughly, and a piece of Vliesofix (double sided adhesive paper for bonding fabrics) of the same size.

The Vliesofix (aka Heat 'n'Bond, Bondaweb, Applifix ) consists of a thin sheet of fusible web ( a thin sheet of dry glue that looks a bit like a very light interfacing) plus a backing sheet (like lunchwrap paper.)  Place the Vliesofix glue layer side down on the back of the fabric motif.  With backing paper in place, press with a  dry iron (no steam) for about 5 seconds to fix the Vliesofix onto the back of the fabric.
